Jennifer Atkinson has been affiliated with the Black Star Agency and has worked for publishers including Harper Collins, Houghton Mifflin, and Norton. Her photos have been published in books and periodicals including People, the Journal of the American Bar Association, Wooden Boat, Woman’s Day, Down East, and Yankee magazines. Atkinson’s work has been exhibited at the Walker Art Museum (Brunswick, ME), the International Center of Photography (New York City), the San Diego Museum of Art, the San Diego Art Institute, the University of California San Diego Faculty Club, and the Athenaeum Music & Arts Library (La Jolla, CA). Formerly a resident of Maine, where she studied under the distinguished American photographers Arnold Newman and Paul Caponigro at the Maine Photographic Workshop, she has lived and worked in La Jolla, California since 1985. Her subjects include artists, writers, and musicians as well as many commissions from private individuals. |
